The Fifth International Conference on Nuclear Photonics will be held October 6 – 10, 2025 in Darmstadt, Germany.
The conference is organized by the Institute for Nuclear Physics at Technical University of Darmstadt.
Nuclear Photonics 2025 is part of a series of biennial conferences devoted to the pursuit fundamental questions in photonuclear and laser-plasma physics, covering topics such as the development of novel laser-driven radiation sources, the scientific exploitation of MeV-range photon beams, and the advancement of methodology and instrumentation for nuclear photonics.
Nuclear photonics deals with the study and exploitation of photon-induced phenomena at the nuclear-physical energy scale, and is a rapidly developing international interdisciplinary field of research due to recent developments in high-power lasers (Physics Nobel Prizes 2018). It involves the generation of brilliant particle beams with high-power lasers, fundamental research in nuclear physics with photonuclear reactions, and the development of new techniques and methods for their use.
